It's been a hard day for all of us but Ricky is on his way now and everything went well. He will spend the night in a military base (Rammstein) and then probably get a flight tomorrow morning to Kurdistan. Hopefully soon after that, he is going to arrive in Afghanistan, so we will hear from him very soon. I will always keep you informed if I hear from him or have any news. I miss you guys and can't wait to talk to you again. Anke (P.S.: I love you Ricky!)

Hi guys its me ricky i just lannded in afhganistan about 4 hours ago called anke to let her know i was all right and tryed to call my mom but no answer.
i just wanted to get on here and let you know i will be in kandahar for a few more days and that im dooing well i miss every one back home well i only got 30 mins on the computer gotta go love you all =] ~~~ricky
Oh My, My Sweet Honey, My Phone was in the other room, I am so sorry I amissed your Call. I will always keep it with me now. I will call Anke and talk with her this morning! I am so glad you made it safely, and hope to talk to you before you go to the Baylough. We Love you so much!

Hi Rick - Loved hearing directly from you! Its a blessing.We all want to know about your haps-your so loved & making us all so proud. there is a lot of prayer going your way. Grandpa's class had a missionary speak to them yesterday, she is in village outside Kabul,Afg.She is a doctor.Charges .25 for visits & $3 for surgeries..such a coincidence that someone from Afg would be here at this time. Will look forward to your next message. You are loved! Grandma & Grandpa
