I GOT THE CALL!!!!!!! He is in Kandahar!!!!!! I am so happy. He is at the Large Military base there for his transition to get out of there. I think it will be a few days though, but at least he is out of the Battle zone he was in. He was so Exited ....he got to Ride in a "Black Hawk", Even Won the Window Seat!!! Do you know what the Window seat is???.... NO DOOR.... Crazy kid. He loved every miniute of it, he got some great photos. If he would have moved over just 1 more Inch, he would have fallen out of the Chopper. Ok Now I really think he is CRAZY..
Once he landed, He said he was the happiest he has been in 6 months. He ate Pizza HUT , Pizza. He said he ate everything and even the cheese stuck to the top of the box. .
GUESS how hot it is???? 135 degrees Hot. OMGOSH, it is horrible, even though he has AC he is still dripping wet. Thank the LORD for his favor, Rick got a Bunk by the AC VENT. His next stop is Kuwait, I believe. Then Home to Germany.

Wow, Karla, I am sooo happy for you!! CONGRATS!! Your son is an amazing guy for serving our country, and I am so thrilled for you that he is on his way home and now out of harm's way. What a wonderful reunion he will have with his wife and with you! Btw, he's a hottie, lol!!!
